FormscanBy Tom Weekes - WESTERN VICTORY has shown smart ability in her career thus far and looks the one to beat despite stepping up to this trip for the first time over hurdles. She has proven herself a very able type in novice hurdles, being beaten by high class novice Honeysuckle at Fairyhouse in January, and while the step up in trip is an issue, she has at least won a point-to-point and the step up could well bring about improvement. Sapphire Lady has herself shown useful form and while there was no disgrace in her Fairyhouse handicap defeat in December, she was well held in another good handicap at Leopardstown in February. Stablemate Robin De Carlow gets this trip well but has a bit to find with the selection on Fairyhouse form in January while Edene D'arc won her maiden well at Gowran recently but now steps up in grade over hurdles for the first time. Moskovite was third in a Grade 3 contest at Clonmel but might again prove vulnerable to a few while Ifyoucatchmenow faces a stiffer task than when winning a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in January.
