Second in the Beresford Stakes at the Curragh in 2014, the son of Archipenko has fallen down the ratings on the level, going from an initial mark of 108 to his current figure of 94. He has shown very little in three hurdle starts to date, but he makes his handicap debut over flights now, and has been given a nice mark of 103. Whether this is his day remains to be seen, but he looks primed to strike soon. Tony Martin trains the selection and he is also represented by Oigear Dubh. This son of Verglas won his maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan on his last start, and he should give a good account of himself here with Donagh Meyler taking five pounds off. Lilly The Lioness is a three time course winner and she should run well, while others to consider are Rosie Alice, Cradle Mountain, Lofgren, Prickly, and top-weight Derulo who is fitted with a tongue strap for the first time.
