Formscan - BARNCROFT showed sizeable improvement after his underwhelming first outing for the Fergal O'Brien when hitting the crossbar in this grade over 2m4f here last month. He was put up just 1lb for that display and, if the son of Getaway takes a step up in distance in his stride, he could go one better. Newtonian ran a lot better than market expectations to fill the runner-up spot at Ludlow last time and could have a say, while Abbeyhill is in good heart.
