Formscan By Tom Weekes - STAFFORDSHIRE KNOT has returned to form this season and has both a light weight and suitable ground conditions. Runner-up at Grade 1-level in April 2024, last season’s form was underwhelming but he has bounced back on testing ground this term. He finished second in the Galmoy Hurdle last month and again avoids any penalty in today’s race. Hiddenvalley Lake won the 2024 renewal and landed the Liverpool Hurdle last April but lacks a recent run and has joint top weight. Last year’s winner Maxxum was well held twice this season while Irancy won a Grade 1 last term but has also been well held twice recently and has joint top weight.
