The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr T. Costello, rider of Asian Master, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip regulations and apologised for his actions which he attributed to his own inexperience. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(c)(unnecessary use of whip) and Reg.10.3.(h)(arm above shoulder) and having taken his record into consideration suspended him for four race days

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.G. Gilligan, rider of Just Three, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he felt his mount was closing

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(c)(unnecessary use) and having taken his record into consideration they suspended him for two race days.

A novice hurdle for four years old and upwards which at entry are rated 135 or less
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 3lbs 5-y-o and up 11st 2lbs
Penalties - Performances before 16th January - for every 1lb above the rating of 123 1lb extra On or after 16th January - for each hurdle race won 7lb extra
