Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - MIKAEL D'HAGUENET would be a deserving winner of this. The son of Lavirco did so much so well here over the course and distance twenty two days back but he was unfortunately scuppered by a bad slither on landing at the last. Of course that's not the first time such a fate has befallen the now eight-year-old, still seeking a first chase win after six attempts. He could have got off the mark at the first time of asking, in the Drinmore in 2010, had he not come down at the final obstacle. Willie Mullins expressed surprise as to how testing the ground was at this venue over three weeks back, and perhaps if Paul Townend can hold on to Mikael D'Haguenet a little more, that can help. Many marked Lord Windermere down as a certain next time out winner when he went down to Dylan Ross at Navan four weeks ago. He is the main alternative to Mikael D'Haguenet. Prima Vista needs to step-up from chasing bow at Gowran over a fortnight back but he definitely has the ability to make the frame – at least. Dingaling looks next best whilst Hansupfordetroit and Madam Bovary, who both came from the point-to-point fields, could make nice chasers in time. Competitive Edge is another to keep an eye on.
