FormscanBy Alan Magee - There was little to choose between Imperial Dream and SHOOT TO KILL when the pair were only beaten about a length over this trip at Down Royal last month with Chestnutter back in eighth. Not a lot went right for the selection on that occasion as he ran loose before the start and perhaps he can add to eight previous in the UK. Giuseppe Cassioli made a pleasing reappearance when beaten less than a length over a mile here last month, while Ice Cold In Alex has been a great servant for Ken Condon and still retains plenty of ability as evidenced by his two recent runs at the Curragh. Pier Pressure progressed well last year and should benefit from his recent run at the Curragh.

Quotes on Pier Pressure (FR)
He definitely got confidence from his victory the last day. He is a very lightly-raced horse and is only growing into himself so, for obvious reasons, that was another race on his belt the last day that he has progressed from. The blinkers definitely helped. Colin gave him a super ride in the sense that he thought Billy (Lee on Free Solo) would bring him a bit further and then he switched over to Adam (Caffrey on Hightimeyouwon) and Adam's horse helped him. Mark (Breen) that owns him is in America and has been over to us a couple of times from America, he is a lovely man. He is not in the best of health at the minute and it will be a great tonic for him. He is a horse that will be sold, only at the right price. He is working his way up having fun and he is proving that he is a stalwart on this surface. He is there for anybody who wants a nice horse. He'll keep going until he is sold and will make a real good premier handicapper in the summer. After Pier Pressure (FR) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 24th Nov 2023 7f Flat Standard

Quotes on Brains (IRE)
He's a grand horse, he's been a prolific winner all his life,. We were wondering would he go on soft but he ran well on it in Leopardstown the last day, you need a soft ground horse in this country nowadays!. (Front-running) is suitable around here all the time. He's always very straightforward, very quick out and always in front. It's a fair old advantage around here. He's a good fun horse and I'm delighted for the owner Paul Sweeney who is a good supporter of mine. I'm delighted to get the odd winner for him. Ground doesn't seem to matter now so we'll keep going with him while he's running well. After Brains (IRE) finished 1st at Roscommon on Mon, 13th May 2024 7f Flat Hcap Soft

Quotes on Eastern Wind (GB)
She did it nicely, dropping back to seven didn't do her any harm anyway,. I'm delighted with her, after getting pipped last week (headed close home when third here) it's great to get back and get a win. She was able to open them up off the bend a bit. It's a long way up that straight and there is always something coming from behind. She was game, she showed plenty of boot over the seven. Probably the ease in the ground over seven helped. James rides very well, he's very strong and is good at pacing them. I'm not sure where we'll go. I'd love to go down to Galway with her but she has a tendency to lean left and you'd want to be getting a very good draw down the railing. After Eastern Wind (GB) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Thu, 20th Jul 2023 7f Flat Hcap Soft

Quotes on Giuseppe Cassioli (GB)
we just dropped him back to seven (furlongs), he was showing enough speed at home and they go stronger here that they did in Wolverhampton. We just told Colm Sharkey (bloodstock agent) to find us a nice horse and in fairness he's a lovely looking horse and he's a colt. He won it well. We'll have a look and see what is in the calendar now, we didn't look beyond today to be honest. He'd need good ground on turf, he's a very fine mover. We'll just mind him now. After Giuseppe Cassioli (GB) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 4th Mar 2022 7f Flat Hcap Standard

Quotes on Chestnutter (IRE)
I thought she was beaten and I said to Derville (his wife) 'we're beat a head'. I was surprised they called a photo, but when we got out of the lift someone said 'well done' to me!. it was her last try - we took the blinkers, the tongue-tie, cross noseband and earplugs off her and I said 'go on on your own and we'll see what happens'. We had brought her to Limerick last week but I took her out because the ground went too soft, I said because it was her last run we'd make sure she had the ground she likes. Hopefully we'll be able to go and run her again, she can't go up too much for that. She's starting off a low base so she can try again. It's great, the lads (No Rush Man Syndicate) are from Clogherhead and they are with me a long time. Gary Aspell, who runs the syndicate, was saying he was coming under pressure! After Chestnutter (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Thu, 22nd Jun 2023 7f Flat Hcap Good to Yielding
