Although one or two of those opponents didn’t have the clearest of runs in the straight and might be capable of better, the selection was going away at the line and can follow up off a 7lb higher mark. Morning Approach hasn’t yet added to a debut maiden win at Dundalk but has been in good form this year. She was a fine second in a big-field handicap at the Curragh last month and that form was franked when the winner followed up at this venue. Despite having risen 10lb in total since the start of the season, she’s likely to go close from a good draw. Oneiroi won over 1m1f here last summer and has only once been out of the first four in seven visits to Leopardstown. He has run well fresh in the past so a near eight-month layoff is not a concern.
