Formscan By Mark Nunan - EASTERN WIND wasn’t far behind runner-up Corporal Violette when third in a maiden at Naas last September and won her next start at Limerick. She ran very well when third to Britannia Handicap contender Amortentia when returning to Naas in May and wasn’t well treated at the weights in a conditions event last time. Back in a handicap with headgear fitted for the first time, this prominent racer can go close. Corporal Violette filled the runner-up spot for a second time at Naas when running well in a valuable sales race in October and beat a subsequent winner when breaking her maiden here last month. This will be her first time to race over further than 7f. Relevant Range, placed in a couple of 6f maidens at Cork last month, is another who steps up in trip and his half-brother was a Grade 1 winner over 1m in America. A tongue-tie is applied for his handicap debut.
