Formscan - KALPANA beat a field of the highest order when she won the King George at Ascot and the face value of that stellar effort is very hard to see beyond. Minnie Hauk needs to bounce back from her effort in the aforementioned contest, when only beating one rival home, and last year's heroine is better judged on her second to Ombudsman in the Prince Of Wales's at the Royal meeting. Johanna Walsh fended off Inis Mor (second), Sparan Nua (third), Earth Shot (sixth) and Sugar Island (last) to win the Irish Oaks last month and she is a rising star that could also have a big say.

Quotes on Minnie Hauk (IRE)
We thought we'd be sitting second and Dylan got the second position so Ryan had to make a decision, he was either going to sit second on Dylan's inside, in behind Wayne, or pull back out of it in a way that he wouldn't have been boxed in. Obviously that's a decision Ryan had to make quickly and it was the right decision. It wasn't over-fast. We knew Joseph's filly was a good filly and Dylan gave her a very good ride. Ryan was very happy. He was out so he could go whenever he wanted. You couldn't be happier. She's one of those fillies that you're probably never going to see the best of her until the tempo is very strong and very high. She cruises through her races. The boss (John Magnier) asked Ryan where to go with her and he said to go to the Yorkshire Oaks. The boss said 'what about if we give her a break and train her for the Vermeille and give her a French Arc prep?'. All those things are open and we'll see how she is. I think she can do either of those things but if she's going to the French trial she'd have to have a couple of easy weeks. Obviously if she's going to York she wouldn’t have those couple of easy weeks. She had a very easy race today, I'd say. The tempo wasn't very strong so she should come out of it well. I'd imagine in the next week or that we'll have a fair idea but they are her two options. Looking at her she'd probably love York. She has a big stride and it's a Flat track too. Obviously the boss will decide with Derek and Michael. After Minnie Hauk (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 19th Jul 2025 1m 4f Flat Good

Quotes on Johanna Walsh (IRE)
It was a huge performance from the filly. I thought Dylan gave her a fantastic ride because he controlled the whole race. He felt like he'd be able to do that from a mid-pack position and he really did. She came on the bridle between the three and the two. We knew that she'd love the fast ground and we felt like she was in good shape coming here. It's really special to win a Classic here in Ireland. This is what we are in the game for and this is why we do what we do. We'll enjoy today. She's had a busy first part of the season. We'll probably give her a little freshen up now and focus on an autumn campaign. After Johanna Walsh (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 18th Jul 2026 1m 4f Flat Good to Firm

Quotes on Sparan Nua (IRE)
She is still learning and was green enough today. We didn't get after her last year as she was a little bit weak, and today it is only her third run. Before she ran this year, we did a couple of bits of work with her, but I wasn't sure where she fitted. I said we'd give her a run to find out and that's why she was 25/1 the first day. She has a good attitude, and I'd say the Irish Oaks is where we'll go now. It was a good performance, and it is my first runner for Newtown Anner Stud. After Sparan Nua (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Sun, 14th Jun 2026 1m 4f Flat Good
