Formscan - PEP TALKING notched up a brace of victories in the spring, but had looked in need of a slight reprieve from the handicapper prior to a recent Wetherby outing. However, he struck with a bit in hand that day and with Jack Andrews negating much of the 4lb rise incurred, he could continue on the winning trail. Merry Monty ran a mighty race to finish third on the back of a long absence at Uttoxeter and may well build on it. Tapley arrives following a fine C&D effort.
