Formscan  - Joe Tizzard's horses have generally been performing with credit since the turn of the year and a chance is taken that his well-bred newcomer VENTARA knows enough about what is required of him to score at the first time of asking. The five-year-old, who cost 52,000 euros, is out of a half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser Battlecry and appears to have been placed to good effect. Course bumper winner Final Encore is interesting on his hurdles debut, while Matterhorn returns after wind surgery and is another appealing option.
