Formscan By Michael Graham - While DUNROE BOY is a better hurdler than chaser, his display at Down Royal on St Stephen’s day gives him more than a squeak here. He was a close-up third to Take A Shot in a two and a half mile chase, and 13 lengths clear of the fourth horse. A 2lb rise in the handicap is hardly punitive and he can score for John Carr and Ian McCarthy. Robertstown Rover is bound to be popular after her Fairyhouse win and second in Thurles, but she has gone up 14lbs in just over a month which may blunt her today. She is effectively racing off a handicap mark she used to run off in 2009, which is asking a lot of a 10-year-old. Torremuelle had a tough race yesterday when beaten a nose at Tramore.
