The selection has been placed on his last three starts and makes his debut in handicap company now. Balkito is another interesting handicap debutant in the line-up. He was a solid fourth on his penultimate outing at Fairyhouse and while he disappointed on his latest start, it'll come as little surprise if he manages to bounce back here. Perry Owens was a fine third in the Lartigue Hurdle at Listowel and the Noel Meade trained gelding is given second preference. He has a course win to his name and should appreciate this step-up in trip. Son Of Hypnos was seventh in the Lartigue and he warrants respect with Jordan Gainford aboard, while others for the shortlist in this competitive contest are Punters Poet, Rough Terrain (failed to land a gamble on his last start) and Tipperary winner Present Road.
