FormscanBy Gary Carson - THE ABBEY ran well on his first outing for Gordon Elliott at Clonmel last month and may be able to get his head in front now. Having travelled strongly then he flattened out a bit when asked for an effort and might appreciate going up in trip now. Pakens Rock was a touch disappointing at Punchestown last time but his previous second-placed effort at Ballinrobe would give him a big shout in this company. Whatsyourstatus has run a couple of solid races to be placed in handicap company on his two most recent starts and in an ordinary enough maiden he's entitled to be thereabouts.
