The former winning pointer beat Operating at Gowran Park last term and subsequently ran well in a 2m3f winners’ race at this venue. However the ground was particularly testing when he switched to hurdles last time, and similar conditions here would have to be a concern. The one best placed to take advantage of any flaw in the selection is Shattered Dream. Unsuccessful in two point-to-point starts, he appears to be crying out for a trip after looking onepaced since switched to hurdles. Malt Gem should also appreciate this stamina test after staying on behind the impressive Un Atout at Navan.
