At Navan on October 9th, the Make Believe colt made an encouraging debut when second of twenty one behind Flaming Moon in a six furlong heat on soft ground. Under Shane B Kelly on that occasion So Suave raced towards the rear, before being a little closer in the rear of mid-division at halfway. Pushed along and making headway into a moderate fourth early in the final furlong, Johnny Murtagh’s charge stayed on strongly from there, to be a neck down and nearest at the finish. Hopefully seven furlongs and polytrack will be right up his alley now. Cardinal Rule, Gold Brocade and Joven are likely to be on the premises for places in the frame.
