The Stewards noted the explanation given by Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero’s representative that the gelding was unsuited by the Good to Soft (Soft in places) Going on this occasion, and would prefer a sounder surface.
The Veterinary Officer reported a post-race examination during routine testing of Oceans Red (GB) failed to reveal any abnormalities other than he lost his right hind shoe.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Loughermore (IRE), placed second, was showing signs of post-race heat stress and the gelding was also found to be lame right fore.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Lough Salt, which was pulled up, had lost its left hind shoe.
