Leaving the back straight, there was interference involving Seaborough (IRE), placed eighth, Mr Coco Bean (USA), placed second, and Blue Medici (GB), unplaced, where the rider of Blue Medici (GB) had to take a check on the rails, but after viewing a recording of the incident, the Stewards were unable to apportion blame.
The performance of Four Kingdoms (IRE), which started favourite and finished sixth, was considered.

The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing of Four Kingdoms (IRE), failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Edward Greatrex reported that Blue Medici (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run on two occasions in the back straight and Dougie Costello reported that Bit Of A Quirke (GB), placed fourth, hung left in the closing stages.
