Approximately one furlong out, Loxley (IRE), placed sixth, shifted right-handed at the same time as Golden Pass (GB), placed fourth, shifted slightly left-handed causing the rider of Loxley (IRE), to have to take a take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, William Buick reported that Loxley (IRE), which started favourite and finished sixth, ran too free and Oisin Murphy reported that Volcanic Sky (GB), placed fifth, hung left-handed.
