Oliver & Coen take Dundalk opener
He is what he is and we are where we are. Ben gave him a nice ride.
Rappell strikes on all-weather debut
He definitely stays six furlongs well and it was his first time on the all-weather. . He keeps a bit to himself. We were hoping he was going to be a lot better this year and just not quite good enough, maybe. . We will keep him going for a while. He might go to the sales, you wouldn't know. He might even come to a claimer here next month. He's grand, but he's not as good as we thought he was going to be.

Famous Enough wins for Foley & Joyce
We were hoping to get into the mile last week and we were balloted out. We said we would take a chance in the mile and two just to find out because we knew he would kind of get a mile and one. . He's in for Tuesday in Mallow which probably would have been first preference with him winning there earlier in the year but, when he was getting in today, we had to go. We couldn't not in a 0-60, so we'll see how he comes out of it and, if the ground is okay, we might go with him on Tuesday. . He does enjoy it here, but I suppose he has been in a while. If he does run again on Tuesday, we will let him freshen up for a while after that and see whether we come back later in the year or put him away until later on. . Either way, that's his second win of the season. . I rode in a couple of point-to-points for Paddy and never rode a winner for him, so it is great to train one for him! Delighted for Paddy, he's a gentleman and very easy to train for. Delighted to have a few horses for him.
Coen at double aboard Punk Poet
He's getting on and I love him and I didn't want anything to happen to him but as Ben says he enjoys his racing. He tries hard. They went good fractions I'd say to do it (lead). He was 90 something (rating) at one stage. I'd say I have no choice (to keep him going), Aileen (Lynam, wife and owner) wants to run him. The girl who minds him loves him, all the staff love him, he's a pet.

We got him out of the sales and he just didn't show a whole lot. Maybe it was just the change coming from England. . We let him off for the summer, he had a good break and went out on grass all summer. Then he came back, filled out, and strengthened up and did well. First-time blinkers. He worked up here with the blinkers on him the other day and worked well. . I think the summer break did him great. He had three months off there and he came back a different horse.
