Nicky Larson lands the odds under Flanagan
He (Flanagan) landed on the golf course out there and I'd say there was a couple of fellas playing golf that didn't know what was happening when they saw Flanagan coming in around the corner! He's tearing straight back to ride for Barry (Connell, Farrokh) in Wexford. I probably would (have been disappointed if he hadn't won) - in fairness to him, he toughed it out. JP and Jessica's horse (Nod Of Approval) didn't maybe jump as well in Ballinrobe, and he was a nice bit better there today, and I thought coming to the second-last and the last, that we were beaten. In fairness, he knuckled down well. It probably didn't suit him to be making the running, but there was nothing much else Sean could do. He jumped relatively okay and toughed it out. He's rated 65 on the Flat, so we might revert back to that before the ground changes too much. He's probably ground-dependent, but it is great to get two hurdle wins as a three-year-old. That's what he was bought to go and do.

Reverend Hubert goes two better in this year's Denny Hurdle
Small fields seem to help him and good ground is probably his thing. He did it well today, I probably sent him on plenty early and he kept going well to the line. He fought well today, the cheekpieces probably helped. Delighted to get another win with him. Hopefully he improved a bit (since finishing third in this race last year). He had a couple of good runs on the Flat and he will probably go back to the Flat for the second part of the season. He might go for one of those staying handicaps down the line. He has plenty of options. He is a good, fun, dual-purpose horse and they are the ones you want.
Third win of the summer for Knocknagoran Lady
She stays well and jumps well, but I wasn't happy the two hurdles were taken out because she's a great jumper,. It was a disadvantage to her. She was going well and Conor just tipped her on. She ran well in Roscommon the last day and got kind of caught back and they just quickened on her. I wouldn't blame the ground; it was just a tighter track and they went a bit steady and got first run on her. We were happy with the run and there wasn't a bother on her after the race. She has come good. We tweaked her wind and she won two - it was just a small procedure. I had her entered in a chase but she wasn't getting in in Wexford, so we would love to send her over fences straight away. She's a great jumper and we have her schooling over fences once a week. We are looking forward to that.
