Flame proves too hot for maiden rivals
Yeah, I suppose when she was 109 I felt there was a maiden hurdle in her. If we could go back, we would probably ride her very differently in a bumper. She always seemed like a filly that basically stays and it was only when we changed tactics with her in her maiden hurdles, when she was held up a bit, that she started finishing out her races better. There probably was a bumper in her if I'd known that. Simon said she didn't travel as well as she can. The ground is as quick as you would want for her. She might be starting in season as well. He said he was happy enough she would pick up from the second last. You'd imagine so (go down handicap route) and see what the handicapper does. As long as the ground stays relatively good, she won't be in it for the winter.
Eastmore gets his favoured ground in the north
He always showed enough at home, but the first day he got sort of good to firm ground. He definitely wants that and it was lively here last year (runner-up). The watered good ground doesn't suit him at all - it has to be as quick as possible, his wind is not great. He is ground dependent. He did (rally well) and he had a light weight today, so that made a difference.
Kennedy patience personified aboard Elliott's Coutach
He was very keen in his bumpers early, so that is why we just dropped him in to settle him. Jack gave him a lovely ride and he didn't have a hard race, so it is great. We will probably look for a little novice somewhere and see where we go, and we could definitely travel him.
Happy Jacky resolute in the north
Fire Coral makes all to give Mullins Down Royal double
Run For Mahler lands finale to give Byrnes Down Royal double
She enjoyed the galloping track. We thought she was a bit unlucky in Tramore and she was getting the allowances tonight. He gave her a good ride and he will get opportunities as he is good value for his 7lb claim. She will go hurdling now. She has schooled and she jumps well.
