An enquiry was held to consider possible interference approaching the first bend, involving Bnaider (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Trevor Whelan, Joulany (IRE), placed second, ridden by Hector Crouch and Golden Conqueror (GB), unplaced, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa.
Having interviewed all three riders, the Stewards found that interference did take place but were unable to apportion any blame, due to the integrity camera coverage being inconclusive.
Following the race, Trevor Whelan reported that Bnaider (GB), placed fourth, ran too free; and Silvestre De Sousa reported that Golden Conqueror (GB), unplaced, suffered interference on the bend.
