The winner, Coup De Pinceau (FR), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Newbury on 29th December 2020 where the gelding finished sixth of fourteen runners, beaten by 40 ¾ lengths.
Nick Mitchell’s explanation that Coup De Pinceau (FR) was better suited by the Soft Going and had further benefited from a change of tactics, having been dropped in on this occasion, over a longer trip, was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
