An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Miss Sparkalot (FR), unplaced, Rhys Clutterbuck and Happy Happy (IRE), unplaced, Alicia Perkins.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Perkins was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The interference was found to be accidental as Happy Happy (IRE), hung left-handed towards the rail, despite Perkins best efforts, resulting in Clutterbuck becoming briefly tight for room.
Following the race, Billy Loughnane reported that Lodge (IRE), placed second, slipped leaving the stalls; Rhys Clutterbuck reported that Miss Sparkalot (FR), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final furlong; Alicia Perkins reported that Happy Happy (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed; David Egan reported that NEYVA’S ANGEL, unplaced, was reluctant to race; and George Wood reported that Whitesnake (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away.
