Liam Wright, the rider of Lady Mary (USA), unplaced, was also interviewed but found not to be involved.
Lee was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he switched his mount left-handed when not fully clear of Captious Cantor (GB), causing Dawson to be badly hampered, which resulted in him clipping heels and stumbling.
Following the race, Warren Fentiman reported that Calibos (GB), placed third, was denied a clear run between 2 ½ furlongs and 2 furlongs out.
