Victorious debut for Ballydoyle juvenile
She’s lovely. She’s very green but she’s a quality filly. She hasn’t done an awful lot and she’s obviously a very good filly. She’ll probably come back here for the fillies' race, the trial for Ascot (on May 17th) , and then maybe the Albany.
Amiata strikes for Lyons & Keane
He’s a grand fun horse. They are lovely owners, Philip and Norma Richards. I don’t think they are overly well at the minute, so I’d like to send our love to them. He’ll go up and down the handicap and win his races during the season, which he’s done today. The handicapper will grab him, and then we’ll have to keep running him to get him back down to the mark and let him win again. He’s not slow and the five has sharpened him up. He was a precocious two-year-old but clueless. These are the type of horses that you are trying to latch on to, so that they grow into four and five-year-old competitive sprinters. They are nice ones to have, they are hard to get so hopefully we’ll keep him on the team.
Win number seven for Lynam's Keke
He’d been missing the kick a bit towards the end of last year.
Force Noir makes no mistake on second start
He ran well the first day, when he showed a little bit of greenness. He has improved since the first day and I’d say he’s going to improve again. The sire (Persian Force) has had a lot of runners and they’ve all run well, they put their heads down and run. Now they are starting to win and I’m very happy for the stallion. He’s a horse that can run over five and can step up to six as well. I liked his attitude today. We’ll see how he is after today and maybe he could come back next week for the First Flier Stakes at the Curragh. We could maybe save him for the Norfolk in Ascot. The Marble Hill is another option if he doesn’t go to the First Flier.
Mission Central lands Listed sprint at Naas
We were delighted. He’s obviously a fast horse. . We thought that he could be a King’s Stand horse, so we’ll see now. He has loads of speed. It was a good effort first time out in a good race. It was a nice race for him.
A short head is good enough for Meade and Bobby McGee
He’s a nice horse. Chris said he was lonely in front and he would have been happier with something bringing him along a little bit further, . We gelded him over the winter which was a big help to him. He was raunchy enough as a two-year-old. We always liked him and hopefully he’ll keep coming on from this. He can’t go up too much for a short-head. It was a nice race to win. He seemed to get the mile quite well. Chris rode him a few times last year, so it’s nice to see him win on him. He’ll go for something similar. We’ll try and go for the good handicaps with plenty of money over seven furlongs or a mile.
Glyfada another nice three-year-old filly for Donnacha
