THE TOM'S BIG BIKE RIDE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Control Room (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood, for Savannah Smiles (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and wear a red hood to post, and for Connie's Rose (GB) and Double Naughty (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Level Up (IRE), drawn 1, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
The winner, Level Up (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sandown Park on 28 August 2026, where the gelding finished seventh of nine runners, beaten 8¼ lengths.
It was noted that David Evans could offer no explanation for the gelding's improved form.
Level Up (IRE) was routine tested.
