The Veterinary Officer reported that Lady Jago (IRE), trained by Dan Skelton, appeared to be suffering from ringworm and the trainer did not have a Certificate of Non-Contagiousness.
Dan Skelton was fined £140 and skin scrapings from the horse were sent for analysis.
The winner, Lady Jago (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Fakenham on 1 January 2025, where the mare was pulled up.
Dan Skelton’s representative’s explanation that the mare appeared to be suited by the faster ground, officially described as Good, Good to Firm in places on this occasion was noted.
Lady Jago (IRE) was routine tested.
