THE EBF RESTRICTED MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 4) (for horses in Band D) (EBF Restricted Race Qualifier) (GBB RACE) Barry McHugh, the rider of Spear Of Artemis (GB) was unseated in the Parade Ring.
Having been checked by the Doctor, McHugh was deemed fit to ride.

Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Brandenburg (GB), shifted quickly left-handed causing Givendale (GB), placed fifth, to become briefly short of room and take a check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Brandenburg (GB).
