THE PERTEMPS NETWORK EBF NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 2) (GBB RACE) Permission was given for Taj Mahal Palace (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
The Starter reported that Taj Mahal Palace (GB) was unruly in stalls and withdrawn at 4:24 pm.
Brian Ellison was informed that the colt could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Shortly after the start the free running winner, Barnaby Rudge (IRE), lugged sharply right-handed moving Bacha (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line who in turn gave a bump to Knock Three Times (IRE), placed fourth, causing that filly to become unbalanced.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Barnaby Rudge (IRE).
Inside the final furlong the winner, Barnaby Rudge (IRE), lugged right-handed moving Hell Of A Spin (IRE), placed second, slightly off its intended line.
Following the race, Warren Fentiman reported that Bacha (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference shortly after the start.
