Claiming King Rocky lands fifth win of the year
That was good. He’s had a grand campaign. When I saw the race, a three-miler claimer, it was perfect for him,. Any time he goes back into open company he’s not able for it. He’s at that level now. He’s nearly 11 and he’s finding things more difficult. To be fair to the Cody horse he wasn’t getting away from him, they were tired. It’s grand to be able to run him in races like that, he’s not going to last forever and thankfully he’s paying his way. He’s had a good year and has a lot of ones beside his name. He might go to Galway on the Sunday for the three-mile handicap but again he probably won’t be good enough. The owner might be want a day out there. We’re having good fun with him and he’s been a good servant. It think these claiming races are great for trainers that are up against it with horses that are too highly handicapped. You’re prepared to spin the bottle and take a chance. The next thing with him would be rehoming him as a riding horse so at least we can keep running him. They should throw in a couple of more claimers, Gordon (Elliott) likes them, I like them and Denis Hogan likes them.

Like An Ocean a shock 40/1 winner of incident packed race
We thought she had ability, we trained the half-sister and she won a maiden hurdle as well. I thought she’d probably learn a lot today. I suppose a couple of things fell right for her, it was a messy race but she still had to be very gutsy to go out and beat horses with more experience. I think that was the impressive part and we’re delighted with her. For a mare running her first ever race on the track to be that straightforward and not bat an eyelid, I think, was a great sign. Hopefully there are nice things to come in the future with her.

Del Boys Diva comes good at the fifth time of asking
I’m delighted to win that, she did it well,. Paddy McKeon has been a great supporter of mine from the word go and it’s great to reward him with a winner there. I think this nicer ground helped. The last day was her first run in a handicap. She ran during the winter, then we gave her a break, and she probably needed the run the last day. The tongue-tie helped as well. Her mother was very good, she was actually my first winner. It’s great that she threw one today.
Western Model gets up late to bring up double for O'Keeffe
I’m delighted with that, he’s a grand sweet horse,. The girl that works for me, Sarah (Lionti), rode him in a charity race at the Curragh and he really came alive after it. He really enjoyed it and it sharpened him up, over a mile-and-a-half. I’d say if you followed those charity races and watched the horses on their next runs they are very sweet because the jockeys can’t hit them and they enjoy it. Sarah knows him well. She’s been with me on work experience as an equine vet physio and she’s been a great help. He had a good run in Downpatrick but he just got outpaced. Sean knows him well and gave him a lovely ride. He travelled so sweet today. I think we might go to Galway with him, I think there is a 0-110 for him. He should be well handicapped back over fences as well. He’s had good form before so he’s probably just back to that.
