The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms A.M. Connolly, rider of Bayswater Bloom, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the whip regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken her clean record into account suspended the rider for three race days

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she used the whip when her chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(b) (out of contention) and having taken her clean record into account suspended her for two race days

An I.N.H. flat race for four years old and upwards mares only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing (excluding Academy Hurdles and 3-y-o Junior N.H. Hurdles) that are EBF eligible Weights - 4-y-o 11st 7lbs 5-y-o and up 11st 11lbs. Riders - Ladies who are Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Ladies who are Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (up to and including 2nd July) may also ride in this race. (The winning owner of this race will receive a €5000 bonus (€7500 bonus if Irish bred and has not previously won a bonus payment in an Academy Hurdle) should the winning filly be eligible for the Weatherbys Ireland/I.T.B.A. N.H.
