Money Dancer takes the spoils in Ballybrit
She just got a bit stale. She had a couple of good runs on the Flat and looked like she’d win but she got into trouble a couple of times, couldn’t get out, and was coming too late. I said we’d give her a break and we let her out for a couple of months, to sweeten her up. She’s come back nicely, and she won first time out on the Flat, so I thought we’d keep her fresh. She’s in a big handicap at the weekend, at the Curragh, but it might be a bit soon. There is one of those good races in her, I think. She likes an ease in the ground. She’s an obvious contender for the Lartigue Hurdle at Listowel. It’s a €60,000 four-year-old race. We’ll have to see what way she’ll be handicapped.
Leave In Secret avails of a drop in class
That was lovely. We had actually planned to go chasing with him. We were looking for one of those 110 or less beginners but there were none coming up for a while. He was in good form, I love running horses when they are in good form, and I said to the lads we’d go and try and win another hurdle in the meantime. Hopefully, it won’t put him out of them (beginners' chases) but we’re delighted. He gets two-and-a-half (miles), but a good strong pace at two (miles) definitely suits well as well. He was dropping back in class as well which made a big difference. I thought the Bellewstown race the last day was probably a bit too much anyway, a bit above him. He wants good ground and I was happy the rain didn’t come that they were giving originally. As long as he stays in good form, and the ground is reasonable, we’ll keep running.
Evergreen 12-year-old Lord Erskine keeps winning
It’s hard to believe, he’s been in great form all year and even last year. When they said it had gone good in places here today, I was nearly thinking about withdrawing but Darragh said it was on the slow side of good. It would be yielding to soft ground for the Flat, so that suits him. He moved out at the right time or he would have been gone as well (at the third last). He did it well. Hopefully he’ll got to Listowel after that.

Rocky's Diamond shines on first crack at fences
That was brilliant, it was some round of jumping to be fair. I was a bit worried beforehand that he had been very exuberant at home, standing off outside the wings. I was saying ‘if he gets one of these wrong, it’s not going to be good’. I’d say when he’s going on in a race, going faster, he does know what he’s doing even though he’s very exuberant. He’s a very good jumper. Michael had done a good bit of schooling on him, he knows when you see a long one on him just to go for it. I didn’t really want to go to Listowel as the fences are a little bit bigger and they are trappier. I wanted to get that out of the way, so we can afford to sit back and chill now a little and see where we go. We’ll probably look for a graded race somewhere. The Florida Pearl at Punchestown at the end of November is three miles - we’ll see. He’s only in nine weeks as well, which is a fair trial of him. He only came in on the first of July. He’s only tipping away, but he has a lot of natural ability - he’s a very good horse. It’s unreal to have a horse like him, I’m just pinching myself every day. It’s great.
Solly Attwell makes it a double for Collins
He was disappointing the last day, the ground was probably too quick I think. I tested everything with him, as I was very disappointed, but everything came back fine. It was a better track for him here today as well. He did it well. He had a light weight on his back and Jordan (Gainford) gave him a good ride. It worked out great.
