THE LISA BOND CELEBRATION HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 3) The Stewards granted permission for Well Educated (IRE) to be led in at the start.
An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of Cannock Park (GB) ridden by Callum Bewley.
The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
Having heard their evidence and reviewed the start the Stewards deemed Cannock Park (GB) to be a runner, in that as the start was effected the gelding refused to race.
Susan Corbett was fined £290 as Sunset Hill (IRE) arrived at the start wearing a tongue strap that had not been declared.
The Stewards considered the unruly behaviour of Cannock Park (GB) which had refused to race after the tapes had gone up.
As the gelding had also been unruly and refused to race at Kelso on 8 November 2025, Paul Robson was informed that any future similar behaviour from Cannock Park (GB) may result in the gelding being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
