Le Grand Peinture opens account in impressive fashion
I knew he'd run well but I didn’t expect that. I’ve done very little with him since his last run because he didn’t need it. He’s a happy horse and he was great. Jack knew what was underneath him. The lead was quite substantial but he was doing it so easy. It was brilliant. I knew he’d come on from the first run in every way. That gave us a bit of a feel for him. We’ll talk to the owners but we’ll keep him going now anyway. He’ll love the better ground.
Amanha scores for McLoughlin & O'Hanlon
Paddy said she travelled into the race well. I was a bit concerned when I got here about the ground but she’s after getting stronger and she finished out the race well. We maybe threw her in at the deep end the last day but that was a competitive race today and she finished out well. Onwards and upwards hopefully. She likes nicer ground so we’ll aim for something at Fairyhouse or Punchestown.
Cardcounter digs deep for gutsy novice win
He’s a nice horse, a good honest horse and stays well. He stayed going well and showed a good attitude. There might not be much left for him. That could be it for the year, we’ll see. He could be a proper staying chaser on soft ground next year.
Autoportrait finally gets his turn over hurdles
He had been running well, knocking on the door. He’ll make up into a nice staying chaser. It’s tougher than they think out there. He’ll probably have one more run this year - he’s still growing.
Canal End gives Fahey a welcome boost in Navan feature
I’m delighted, we haven’t had the best of seasons so it’s great for a horse like him to come out and do something in a nice race like that. It’s a great end to the season and I’m looking forward to getting him out again. The whole way through the race I was never really happy with him. It was only from the back of the last that he really found loads and stayed at it. We’ll try and find another chase for him between Fairyhouse and Punchestown. We mapped out today after his run in Naas the last day. The ground was very heavy there and Mark said he didn’t really travel in it, but he galloped the whole way to the line. We said we’d go for this race, with it being a novice handicap. Whether we keep him to novice handicaps, we’ll see. We’ll speak to Frank and JP and see what they want to do.

Burrows Drive takes bumper in runaway fashion
We’re delighted, that was really good. He built on his run here and I suppose he was the form horse coming into it. We’ll see what the owner has to say, whether he goes again at Punchestown or if we put him away and go hurdling next season. Finny said he might like better ground, but I always thought he’d handle any ground. I’d say he’s a big horse that likes a cut. I’m delighted to have him.
