She’s a tough mare, she’s improving and Billy knows her well. He gave her a great ride,. She seems to go everywhere he wants her. She got it handy up front and he said himself that he probably got there a bit earlier than he thought. She was enjoying herself and was going sweetly. She battles and when the horse came back at her she just kept finding. She was tough out, she’s a great filly to watch because she wears her heart on his sleeve.

Skukuza a third English winner at the Curragh
We’re delighted. We came here for the rain and it came at the right time,. He deserved to win this. He got injured in the Britannia, which he ran so well in, and things haven’t gone right for him. He’s a smart horse and I’m delighted for my team and obviously for Mrs Rupert. Possibly the Hunt Cup next. It’s a nice pot, a great day and a long time since I had a winner here. I haven’t had many runners here. We won a few classics here but it’s seems like a while ago. He had come down a pound or two but he’s only run twice since the Britannia. We had to put him away for the whole year. The key to nice horses are owners being patient and she was patient. We gave him all the time in the world and here we go.
Goal Exceeded makes winning start for Ado McGuinness
I was very happy with him. His work at home was very good,. He was working with Apache Outlaw, he finishing well in front of him and he ran a cracker yesterday in the big sprint. I didn’t want to put the two of them together so that’s why I came here with him. I think he’ll turn into a nice premier handicap horse in time. He’s quite talented and he likes this surface. We’re probably looking at the likes of Derby weekend and maybe Galway. Galway might be our main target with a horse like him as they go good and fast and he’ll like it. He’s an easy enough horse to train and he just suits our system. There are a good bunch of lads from the north involved. Martin White, Breen White and Declan Sheridan from Cavan, they’ll be happy men today. He had some very good form and I just felt he was a horse that would improve with a bit of time, and I think he has. We gave him the whole winter off and it’s worked out well. Sometimes horses like time just need a little bit of time to get into the system. I don’t think we put a saddle on him for three-and-a-half months, just let him in and out and enjoy life.
Iceford opens account for Murtagh and Coen
He’s a very solid little horse, he’s been knocking on the door all season,. I thought maybe after getting hiked in the handicap for finishing second in a maiden he might struggle but he’s very tough and genuine and Ben said he surprises him every time he rides him. He said he answered every call there, he was in the middle and both horses were far away from him but he said he was straight and true right to the line. We’ll look at the Britannia maybe because he should be in that bracket now.
