Ramses De Teillee (FR) wore earplugs throughout the race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the last flight when the winner Ramses De Teillee (FR), ridden by Tom Scudamore interfered with Champagne Well (IRE), placed second, ridden by Paddy Brennan.
Scudamore was cautioned for careless riding as allowed his mount to move right-handed causing Brennan to be briefly taken off his intended line.
The performance of Boss Man Fred (IRE) which started second favourite and finished fourth of five runners, beaten by 34 ½ lengths was considered.
The representative of Dan Skelton could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Boss Man Fred (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities other that the gelding had lost its left-fore shoe.
Following the race, Page Fuller reported that Thomas Macdonagh (GB), placed fifth, hung left-handed.
