Leaving the cutaway, approximately three and a half furlongs out, Percy Shelley (GB), placed third, needed to be checked off the heels of the winner, Mr Hampstead (USA), after racing freely for several strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately two furlongs out, involving the winner, Mr Hampstead (USA), ridden by Rossa Ryan, and Judgementofsolomon (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Robert Havlin.
Ryan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his horse to shift right-handed when insufficiently clear, causing the rider of Judgementofsolomon (GB) to take a precautionary check.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Judgementofsolomon (GB), placed fifth, jumped the crossing approximately one mile out.
