The winner, Pure Surf (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sedgefield on 5 February 2025, where the mare finished fifth of six beaten 53¾ lengths.
Victor Thompson explained that the mare may have appreciated the return to better ground, officially described as Good, on this occasion.
His explanation was noted and Pure Surf (IRE) was routine tested.
