An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference after the last fence, involving the winner, Beny Nahar Road (IRE), ridden by Sean Quinlan and Pure Surf (IRE), placed second, ridden by Miss Pippa Brown.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Beny Nahar Road (IRE)’s placing as Beny Nahar Road (IRE) was always holding the Pure Surf (IRE) to win by a neck and therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Quinlan was cautioned for careless riding as he had drifted left-handed causing intimidation to Pure Surf (IRE), who was moved off its intended line and received a slight bump in the final couple of strides.
