The winner, Hudson De Grugy (FR) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Haydock Park, on 22 November 2025, where the gelding finished ninth of ten beaten by 86½ lengths.
It was noted that Sam England could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Hudson De Grugy (FR) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Carrig Kate (IRE), placed second, finished lame on its right-fore.
