The winner, Invictus World (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Cartmel on 29 June 2025, where the gelding was pulled up.
Gerald Stephen Quinn explained that the gelding may have stripped fitter from its previous run, which had followed a break since October 2024, and that the gelding had appreciated the Good ground on this occasion.
Invictus World (FR) was routine tested.
Following the race, Charlie Price reported that Tommie Gun (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed and jumped left-handed and the Veterinary Officer reported that Jakana (IRE), placed fifth, was lame on its right fore.
