The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the run to the line involving Caridadi, ridden by P.F. Mangan, placed fifth, Lady Clitico, ridden by B.F. Cawley, placed fourth and Social Riser, ridden by M.P. Fogarty, placed third, where it appeared Social Riser met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They were, however, of the opinion that B.F. Cawley was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record cautioned him.
