THE DAPPER GEE GEE OWNERS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Permission was given for Style King (IRE) to go early to post.
The raceday privilege request for The Fixer (IRE) trained by Scott Dixon to go early to post wearing a red hood was late being submitted.
Dixon was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing Leaving the starting stalls, Level Up (IRE), placed second, jumped awkwardly and shifted right- handed bumping Shalaa Asker (GB), placed fourth, causing that runner to become notably unbalanced but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Level Up (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching and passing the final furlong involving Level Up (IRE), placed second, ridden by Billy Loughnane and the winner The Fixer (IRE), ridden by Kieran O'Neill.
Loughnane was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount drift right-handed without timely correction carrying The Fixer (IRE) off its intended line.
The winner, The Fixer (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Doncaster on 29 March 2026 where the gelding finished fifteenth of seventeen runners beaten by 12 lengths.
The representative of Scott Dixon’s explanation that The Fixer (IRE), may have benefited from a drop back in grade to class 6 handicap company and a return to racing around a bend, was noted.
The Fixer (IRE) was routine tested.
