com AMATEUR JOCKEYS' HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) Permission was given for Moonhall Lass (IRE) to wear a red hood to post; for Beau Jardine (IRE) and Roman Spring (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and be mounted in the chute; for Rovinia (GB) to go early and wear a red hood to post.
Approximately five furlongs out, the free running, Sub Thirteen (GB), placed second, switched off the heels of, Rovinia (GB), placed fifth, causing Beau Jardine (IRE), unplaced, to be slightly short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sub Thirteen (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the four-furlong marker involving, Beau Jardine (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Miss Arabella Fox and Alyara (GB), placed, ridden by Mr Jack Loughnane.
The interference was found to be accidental as Beau Jardine (IRE) was squeezed out by the free running Sub Thirteen (GB), placed second, causing Beau Jardine (IRE) to become awkwardly placed on the heels of Rovinia (GB), placed fifth, which resulted in Miss Fox having to switch left-handed, shifting Alyara (GB) off its intended line and causing the rider to take a check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the two-furlong marker involving, Sub Thirteen (GB), placed second, ridden by Miss Sarah Bowen and Beau Jardine (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Miss Arabella Fox.
Miss Bowen was cautioned for careless riding as she manoeuvred left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Beau Jardine (IRE) to be taken slightly off its intended line.
Following the race, Mr Jack Loughnane reported that Alyara (GB), unplaced, reared as the stalls opened, resulting in the mare being slowly away.
