The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry after Debbonair (IRE), ridden by George Rooke was kicked shortly before the start.
As both Rooke and the Starters had left the course, they adjourned their enquiry to a date to be confirmed.
Approaching 2 furlongs out, Easy Equation (FR), placed fifth, switched left handed for a clear run at the same time as Lunar Shadow (GB), unplaced, resulting in the rider having to ease in her riding slightly but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Easy Equation (FR).
Approximately 1 furlong out, Easy Equation (FR), placed fifth, switched left for a clear run at the same time as Lunar Shadow (GB), unplaced, lugged quickly right, causing the rider of Lunar Shadow (GB), to take a slight check but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Easy Equation (FR).
Approximately ½ a furlong out, Sir Joseph Swan (GB), placed second, drifted right handed away from the whip causing Sulochana (IRE), placed fourth, to be slightly taken off its intended line but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sir Joseph Swan (GB).
The performance of Mr Tambourine Man (IRE) which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
David Pipe could offer no explanation for the geldings performance.
Following the race, Silvestre De Sousa reported that Overhaugh Street (GB), unplaced, had no more to give and George Rooke reported that Debbonair (IRE), unplaced, hung badly left handed.
