At the first hurdle, The Wire Flyer (GB), unplaced, jumped badly right into Hang In There (IRE), causing its rider, Adam Wedge, to be unseated, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Passing the Winning Post on the first circuit, the winner, Thegallantway (IRE), hung badly left-handed following Hang In There (IRE), which was cantering loose after unseating Adam Wedge, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
