Permission was given for Dark Side Prince (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
The Starter reported that James Glennon, the rider of FLICKA’S GIRL, had originally entered the wrong stall.
The rider and Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
Being a 7lb claimer, Glennon was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior jockey.
Glennon’s explanation that a Stalls Handler had erroneously led the horse into the wrong stall before removing that runner and placing it in the correct stall, was accepted.
An enquiry was held to consider interference leaving the stalls involving the winner, Startling (GB), ridden by Edward Greatrex, She Went Whoosh (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Neil Callan and Dark Side Prince (GB), unplaced, ridden by George Wood.
Greatrex was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed Startling (GB) to shift left-handed without correction, moving She Went Whoosh (IRE) off its intended line which resulted in Wood having to take a check aboard Dark Side Prince (GB).
Greatrex had also appeared not to keep straight from the stalls and as such the rider was suspended for an additional 1 day.
Following the race, George Wood reported that Dark Side Prince (GB), unplaced, suffered interference leaving the stalls and Taryn Langley reported that Commendation (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
